Description
The University of Mississippi’s Department of Student Housing is soliciting proposals from qualified and authorized security systems integrators for a phased modernization and expansion of residence-hall security systems. The scope includes assessment and migration of existing infrastructure; design and installation of access-control devices, Mercury controllers and modules, Schlage readers and locks, door-position and request-to-exit devices, Genetec Cloudlink appliances, software licensing, Axis surveillance cameras, cabling, and related components. The selected contractor will provide project management, procurement, installation, programming, integration, testing, commissioning, documentation, training, warranty coordination, preventive maintenance, emergency service, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support. The solution must integrate with the University’s on-premises Genetec Security Center environment, StarRez, Shibboleth single sign-on, and existing access-control and video-surveillance infrastructure; support future building expansion; and provide at least 45 days of video retention unless otherwise specified. Proposals must address technical compliance, implementation methodology, staffing, manufacturer authorizations, comparable university references, licensing and lifecycle costs, a proposed contract, audited financial statements, a VPAT, a light HECVAT, and Unified Elite Genetec partner documentation.
