Description
This is a lump-sum construction solicitation for a Joint K9 and Bomb Squad Complex at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The work includes construction and renovation of K9 and explosive ordnance disposal facilities, kennels, dog runs, training space, offices, changing rooms, transportation bays, an apparatus bay, canopies, fencing with coyote rollers, propane-tank relocation, site utilities, grading, paving, drainage, landscaping, roofing, finishes, and related demolition. The project also includes structural, plumbing, fire-protection, mechanical, electrical, fire-alarm, technology, security, access-control, audiovisual, and building-automation work. The independent estimate is $4,969,049. The contract duration is 395 calendar days, consisting of 305 days to substantial completion and an additional 90 consecutive days to final completion. A 25% SBE goal applies and requires SBE+ certification, which includes a Personal Net Worth Statement. The bid requires performance and payment bonds upon award, at least 20% self-performance by the prime contractor, and compliance with the Airport's rolling owner-controlled insurance program and project safety requirements.
