Description
The Western Area Power Administration is seeking information from qualified businesses capable of furnishing and delivering treated Pacific Coast Douglas Fir utility poles under a prospective firm-fixed-price, three-year IDIQ contract. Orders would be issued as needed, with deliveries to WAPA facilities across the Upper Great Plains, Rocky Mountain, Desert Southwest, and Sierra Nevada regions. Contractors must provide equipment and personnel for self-offloading poles into WAPA storage bunks. The draft specifications require ANSI- and AWPA-compliant Class H1, 1, or 2 Douglas Fir poles, including through-boring, seasoning, preservative treatment, moisture and penetration requirements, marking, inspection, testing, and certification. Respondents must identify their business size and socioeconomic status, manufacturing or distribution role, applicable treating mills, ability to meet the specifications and delivery requirements, any applicable GSA Schedule coverage, and relevant experience. Pricing must not be submitted because this is a sources-sought market research notice rather than a solicitation.
