Description
Monroe County Facilities Management is seeking a qualified contractor to provide monthly maintenance groundskeeping at the Marathon Public Library Branch and Emergency Operations Center. The scope includes mowing, weeding, redefining flower beds and grass areas, edging walkways, trimming hedges and shrubs, shaping buttonwood trees, cleaning flower beds, blowing parking lots and walkways, controlling weeds across both properties, and removing debris for proper disposal. The contractor must provide all labor and materials, coordinate work with the County, protect existing property, furnish safety equipment and warning signs, and work during the specified weekday hours. The contractor must submit a lump-sum base proposal, project schedule, contractor's license, Monroe County Business Tax Receipt, and certificate of insurance. If not a registered Monroe County vendor, the contractor must also submit a completed W-9. The contract is expected to begin within 10 calendar days after County approval and issuance of authorization to proceed, with final completion required by September 30, 2027. Construction and performance bonds are expressly not required.
