Description
The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency is soliciting a contractor for exterior repainting of Olympian Tanks 1 and 4. Tank 1 requires complete removal of existing exterior paint from the roof, shell, accessories, appurtenances, and directly serving site piping, followed by application of a new epoxy and polyurethane paint system. Tank 4 requires spot power-tool cleaning, high-pressure water cleaning, repair of exterior paint, full overcoating, and caulking between the tank and concrete ring wall, followed by an epoxy and urethane coating system. The work includes containment, collection, handling, testing, transportation, and disposal of paint debris and other waste; environmental and worker-protection measures; quality-control inspections; and compliance with applicable prevailing-wage, licensing, and public-works requirements. Bidders must hold a California Class C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor license, demonstrate at least five years of relevant steel water-tank coating experience, attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, and submit the required electronic bid materials and bid security.
