Description
Lake County, Illinois, is soliciting sealed bids for Section 19-00072-14-WR, Hainesville Road Reconstruction. The work includes reconstruction and widening of Hainesville Road; storm sewer improvements; water main adjustments; lighting improvements; installation of one traffic signal and signal interconnect; full-depth hot-mix asphalt pavement; curb and gutter; bike path; sidewalk; seeding; pavement marking; and related work. Major quantities include approximately 35,577 cubic yards of earth excavation, 16,686 tons of hot-mix asphalt binder course, 6,126 tons of hot-mix asphalt surface course, 10,765 feet of storm sewer, and 4,236 feet of ductile iron water main. Electronic plans and specifications are available at no charge. Bidders must obtain authorization to bid before the letting; electronic bid proposals are not accepted. A 5% bid security or bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, each for the full bid amount. Prevailing-wage requirements apply.
