Description
The VA North Texas Health Care System requires the purchase of an iPack Rx Unit Dose Packager, manufactured by Pearson Medical Technologies, LLC, or an equal product. This procurement includes the packager itself, along with associated items such as label printing software, a fill-in station, measurement tools, a monitor, keyboard, mouse, barcode reader, biometric scanner, utility table, UPS, label printers, external hard drive, starter supply kits for labels and the packager, a premium customer support agreement with an annual on-site technician visit, and installation services. The equipment must meet specific salient characteristics, including operating on 115VAC, 60Hz, 320VA power, fitting within a 60"x48" footprint (and able to enter a 32"x48" doorway), and functioning as a standalone system without network connectivity. Key operational capabilities include scanning and inputting drug information from DSCSA barcodes, printing DSCSA barcodes on labels, automatically inputting drug data to prevent errors, storing a drug information database locally, packaging various pill sizes, and generating customizable reports. The barcode reader must support both linear and 2D barcodes. The system must also include a complete starter supply kit with necessary consumables. Delivery is anticipated to the VANTHCS location at 4500 S Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216, during normal business hours (0800-1600 Central Time, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal Holidays). The vendor is responsible for coordinating delivery with VA Logistics Warehouse and defining the need for a staging area if required. Installation and training are also required, with training to be completed within 45 days after final installation. The products will be covered by the vendor's standard warranty, which must be at least one year following the first day of use.
