Description
The City of New Braunfels is soliciting a supplier, preferably a direct manufacturer, for customized heavy-duty kraft paper bags used to collect yard waste. Preferred specifications are 2-ply, 50-pound wet-strength, 100% virgin kraft paper; square bottom; 16 by 12 by 35 inches; and 30-gallon capacity. Bags must include two-color informational printing on both sides using City-provided artwork. An alternate recycled-paper option may be proposed if it provides equivalent strength and includes comparative test documentation. The estimated annual quantity is 288,000 bags, generally ordered in four shipments of 72,000 bags. Bags must be packaged five per retail package, placed in Gaylord boxes on pallets, and delivered within four weeks after each purchase order. Pricing must include pallet and shipping charges. The solicitation also requires one sample of five bound bags with the bid, along with proposal forms, company information, certifications, qualifications and experience, pricing, and other specified response materials.
