Description
The United Nations Development Programme is procuring a complete plastic recycling plant for the Behshahr Compost Plant in Mazandaran Province, Iran. The contractor must supply, transport, unload, install, integrate, test, commission, start up, operate, and maintain the facility, including a plastic shredding, washing, drying, granulation and pelletizing line; two plastic-bag production lines; mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, safety, and auxiliary systems; spare parts; and related civil and utility works. The plant is designed for approximately 1,000 kg per hour of plastic-waste washing, approximately 400 kg per hour of granule and pellet production, and approximately 320 kg per hour of combined finished-bag production. The scope also includes engineering, equipment approval documentation, testing, training, English- and Persian-language manuals and as-built records, four months of operation and maintenance with one operations manager and seven operators, a 12-month warranty, remote and on-site technical support for at least two years after handover, and spare-parts and maintenance support for at least five years after the warranty period. The contract is for works, partial bids are not allowed, and the award will be made to one bidder. A performance security is required through retention of 10% of each progress payment; bid security is not required.
