Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking two shipping and storage containers for an ophthalmic diagnostic ultrasound scanner, end item NSN 6540-01-486-3161. Each container must be approximately 20.5 inches long by 20.5 inches wide by 19.25 inches high, with an 18-by-18-by-18-inch interior, four wheels, double-throw latches, an O-ring seal, a built-in spring-loaded pull handle, stainless-steel caster wheels, and a 29.76-pound unpackaged unit weight. The containers must be waterproof, crushproof, dustproof, and case hardened. The solicitation identifies Pelican Products, Inc. part number 0340 and Sonomed, Inc. part number 63663 as approved sources, but permits alternate offers if the quoter provides a complete data package for evaluation. Two each are required. Commercial packaging, sealed unit containers, specified medical marking, and applicable military shipping and packaging requirements apply. Quotes must be submitted through the DLA Internet Bid Board System by the stated deadline.
