Description
College Township is soliciting bids for renovation and reconfiguration of two floors of its existing Municipal Building at 1481 E. College Avenue. The project is structured as multiple prime contracts for general construction, mechanical/HVAC construction, electrical construction, and plumbing construction, including fire-protection work. Scope includes demolition, interior finishes, doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, HVAC systems and controls, electrical distribution and lighting, plumbing systems and fixtures, fire protection, and related coordination among the prime contractors. Alternates include second-floor restroom renovations, new meeting-room finishes, meeting-room window replacement, and trade-specific work such as new HVAC grilles, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and electrical/data outlets. Bids must include the applicable completed bid form and pricing breakdown, a 10 percent bid bond, a non-collusion affidavit, contractor qualification information, proof of insurance, and other documents identified in the bid checklist. The successful bidder must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds and required insurance after notice of intent to award. The project is subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage, steel-products, public-works employment-verification, and other applicable public-contract requirements. The stated construction period is 360 days from the notice to proceed.
