The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Philadelphia is seeking market research information regarding commercial components for their Unitized Group Rations (UGR) program, specifically for the UGR Heat and Serve and UGR Marines (UGR-M) programs. They are interested in understanding the capabilities of suppliers to meet increased quantity and accelerated delivery requirements, including surge and sustainment capabilities, in support of Department of Defense contingencies and peacetime needs. This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only and is not a solicitation for proposals. DLA Troop Support Philadelphia is evaluating the current industrial base, acquisition approaches, and supply chain management alternatives. They are seeking information on companies that can provide commercial items, potentially alter them for customer needs (e.g., re-palletizing, applying placards, assembling into variety packs), and have capabilities for storing and delivering the listed products. Pricing backed by raw manufacturer invoices is also of interest.
