Description
The City seeks a contractor to haul and dispose of biosolids generated at its Airport Water Reclamation Facility at approved landfills. The contractor must provide and maintain the labor, containers or trailers, vehicles, equipment, supplies, and supervision needed for the service; keep at least two containers or trailers on site; and haul loaded containers within 24 hours. Loads must be weighed at certified scales, with weigh tickets submitted with monthly invoices. The contractor is responsible for obtaining landfill permits and must use equipment that prevents leakage and material loss, meets facility unloading requirements, and does not exceed the specified nine-foot height limit. The solicitation establishes a three-year initial term beginning January 1, 2027, with up to two additional one-year extensions by mutual consent. Historical annual hauled tonnage was approximately 5,700–6,100 tons in 2022–2025, but the City guarantees no minimum volume. Bidders must submit pricing and complete the required proposal responses, including disclosures and bidder certifications. The selected contractor must meet the stated insurance requirements before work begins.
