Description
Banquete Independent School District is soliciting proposals for Category 1 Internet access and/or data transmission services. Vendors may propose Internet access only, data transmission/transport only, or bundled services, using fiber, hybrid, cable, fixed wireless, microwave, satellite, or another reliable transmission medium. Pricing is required for 2 Gbps and 5 Gbps bandwidth tiers, with the ability to upgrade during the contract term at the bid rate. Services must be delivered to the District's primary demarcation point and meet a 99.99% network-availability requirement with a maximum four-hour mean time to repair for emergency outages. The scope includes any required installation, wiring, hardware, testing, documentation, and related construction. Respondents must hold a valid Service Provider Identification Number and maintain good standing with the FCC. The initial contract term may be 36 or 60 months, with two or more optional 12-month extensions; service is scheduled to begin July 1, 2027. Vendors may use subcontractors but remain responsible for the work and must satisfy applicable school-site background-check and safety requirements.
