Description
Troup County School System is soliciting proposals from qualified construction management firms to provide construction management-at-risk services for a phased project replacing West Point Elementary School. The project is anticipated to include construction of a new gymnasium and band/chorus suite, demolition of existing facilities, construction of an approximately 84,800-square-foot two-story education facility, and construction of a new parking lot and drives. The stated construction budget is approximately $40,000,000. Services include pre-construction estimating, constructability review, value engineering, scheduling, bid-package development, subcontractor bidding and award, guaranteed maximum price development, construction management, on-site supervision, safety and quality control, cost and schedule management, closeout, commissioning coordination, and one-year warranty administration. The project is expected to begin construction in July 2027 and reach substantial completion in June 2029. The selected firm may not self-perform project work except as mutually agreed with the owner and permitted by the Georgia Department of Education.
