Description
The City of Charleston is seeking a full-service contractor to provide, install, maintain, repair, stock, and operate traditional vending machines and micro markets supplying food, beverages, snacks, and sundries at multiple City facilities. The contractor must provide new or like-new, ADA-compliant, energy-efficient equipment, including card readers for traditional machines and secure self-checkout kiosks with cameras and multiple payment options for micro markets. The contractor is responsible for equipment, product stocking, refunds, maintenance, repairs, loaner equipment, service response, pricing and product lists, monthly sales reporting, and compensation to the City based on a percentage of gross sales. Service calls for out-of-order machines should receive a response within three hours, and services may be required at facilities operating during regular business hours, 24/7, and emergency activations. The initial agreement term is one year, with up to four additional one-year extensions. Proposals must include the completed response, pricing, operational and maintenance plans, qualifications and at least four similar client references, required forms and affidavits, and an acknowledgment of addenda. The solicitation requires one original, four bound copies, and one electronic copy on a flash drive, with the proposal and cost separated into two electronic documents.
