Cobb County is soliciting bids for construction of operational and safety improvements at the Blair Bridge Road at Oak Ridge Road/Riverside Parkway intersection, including installation of a traffic signal. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, insurance, and other services necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Work is governed by applicable Georgia Department of Transportation, Cobb County Water System, and Cobb County traffic signal specifications. The project has a 365-consecutive-calendar-day performance period from the Notice to Proceed, with commencement required within 10 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit an electronic proposal through Bid Express, include all addenda, complete the Non-Collusion Certificate and Contractor Affidavit and Agreement, and provide a 5% bid bond or permitted cash/certified-check guarantee. The successful contractor must furnish a 100% performance bond and a 110% labor and material payment bond. Required qualifications may include a Georgia Utility Contractor License for utility work and compliance with current Georgia Department of Transportation bid requirements. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, commercial umbrella/excess liability, and builder’s risk coverage; professional liability is required if professional services are performed.
