Description
The Asbury Park Housing Authority seeks a contractor to furnish and install two new interconnected, AC-powered combination carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in each of 105 apartment units at Dr. Robinson Towers, for a minimum total of 210 detectors. Detectors must be hardwired, interconnected, 120-volt AC powered, battery-backed, and UL listed. The work includes removal and disposal of existing detectors where applicable; installation of wiring, junction boxes, connectors, mounting hardware, and related electrical components; minor repair of wall or ceiling penetrations; and resident coordination and access scheduling. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, inspections, testing, disposal, and related services. Responsibilities include obtaining required approvals, complying with applicable electrical, building, fire, HUD, and manufacturer requirements, testing every installed device and interconnection, providing written test results, correcting deficiencies, and obtaining final acceptance. The contract is firm fixed price, includes a one-year labor and workmanship warranty, and requires a bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount, capped at $20,000. Separate performance and labor and material payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the total contract price, are required after award.
