Description
Mendocino County Department of Transportation is soliciting construction services for replacement of the Hill Road Bridge over Mill Creek. The scope includes contractor-designed and fabricated steel truss bridge work; bridge delivery and installation; abutment modification; new driven steel pipe and cast-in-drilled-hole pile foundations; structural concrete, reinforcing steel, bridge deck, bridge railing, and finger-joint assembly; demolition of existing abutments, walls, and foundations; and temporary creek diversion as required. The project also includes approximately 650 feet of roadway reconstruction with hot-mix asphalt over aggregate base, drainage improvements, linear bioretention/LID areas, gravel driveway work, temporary traffic control, erosion and sediment control, rock slope protection, planting and establishment, environmental restoration, fencing, signs, guardrail, pavement markings, and contractor-supplied biological and archaeological monitoring. The contractor must use an approved or pre-approved bridge manufacturer, comply with Buy America, prevailing-wage, environmental-permit, biological-resource, and cultural-resource requirements, and complete the site work within 150 working days, excluding plant establishment.
