Description

The Town of Nantucket is soliciting proposals for the purchase, transportation, and installation of a mobile office trailer, approximately 2,100 to 2,300 square feet, at 2 Fairgrounds Road. The unit must provide private offices, a conference room, open workstations for at least eight workstations, an IT/storage room, copy/workroom space, a kitchenette or breakroom, two ADA-compliant restrooms, accessible circulation and egress, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, commercial finishes, and year-round occupancy for approximately 14 to 20 employees. The contractor must provide site preparation within its proposed scope, ferry or barge transportation, placement, anchoring, skirting, ramps, stairs, landings, weatherproofing, Massachusetts-stamped drawings, engineering, permitting support, warranties, and operation manuals. The selected proposer is also responsible for designing, permitting, installing, testing, and commissioning any code-required fire alarm system. The proposal must account for Massachusetts building and energy codes, the Manufactured Building Program, coastal design requirements, and Historic District Commission approval. Pricing must be provided separately for the modular building, transportation, installation, foundation, accessibility systems, engineering, furniture, extended warranties, and maintenance programs. Addendum No. 1 specifies a commercial-grade furniture package for 14 staff, including private-office desks, open workstations, task chairs, guest chairs, conference furniture, filing cabinets, bookcases, and breakroom furniture. The estimated project cost is approximately $800,000, with substantial completion required by June 1, 2027, and final completion by July 1, 2027.
