Description
The Middletown Township Fire Department is soliciting proposals for NFPA compliant aerial ladder inspection, testing, and maintenance services. All work will be performed at designated fire stations within Middletown Township. The vendor is responsible for providing all necessary materials, tools, and labor. Prices should include all shop costs, labor, and material costs. All work must be completed by December 31, 2026. Travel charges are not permitted. The inspection and testing must meet NFPA 1910, 2024 edition requirements and manufacturer recommendations. The technician performing the tests must be at least a Level II NDT technician. Services include visual inspection, nondestructive testing (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, hardness readings, acoustic emission, eddy current), operational testing, and functional testing. Test defects must be reported and classified by severity, with a signed report provided to the department representative. Certificates will be provided for passing aerials. Maintenance services must also meet NFPA 1910, 2024 edition and manufacturer recommendations. Service personnel must be EVT certified. Services include power washing, thorough inspection, and lubrication of various components such as the turntable, chassis, stabilizers, and aerial device, as well as specific fastener and lubrication points. The scope of work also includes an inventory of aerial ladders and their locations.
