Description
Carrizo Springs Consolidated Independent School District is soliciting proposals for multiple alternatives supporting a new 10 Gbps wide-area network. The requested work includes a self-provisioned fiber network with 12 strands of single-mode fiber across approximately 6,000 feet of new construction, preferably using aerial connections; equivalent 10 Gbps services delivered over a third-party network; and associated special construction, installation, configuration, and recurring maintenance and operations. The solicitation also requests network equipment and software/licenses needed to light the dark fiber and distribute broadband throughout the district, including approximately three Cisco 9300X-24Y-EDU or equivalent switches, Cisco or equivalent 10 Gbps optical modules, network modules, cabling, and related installation and configuration. Proposals must separate eligible and non-eligible costs, distinguish one-time construction charges from recurring charges, include bandwidth scalability, and provide maintenance practices and service-level information. The district will compare the self-provisioned and third-party WAN options based on cost effectiveness.
