Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for the Expand 111 or Department 2AS Phase 1 construction project at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. The project includes renovation of existing spaces in Building 111 and construction of a new addition adjacent to 2AS above the Emergency Department, connecting the spaces into a new four-operating-room suite. Ancillary mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, and biomedical-engineering equipment coordination is also included. The anticipated procurement is a competitive, firm-fixed-price, design-bid-build construction contract. The estimated construction magnitude is $10 million to $20 million, and the estimated duration is 635 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Respondents must submit a capability statement addressing company qualifications, business size and socioeconomic status, interest in the anticipated procurement method, bonding capacity, up to three comparable projects completed within the last seven years, relevant technical skills and personnel, and self-performed work. The response must be a single application-generated PDF of no more than nine single-sided pages, no larger than 4 MB, using at least 12-point font and single spacing; it is not a bid or proposal.
