Description
The Indian Health Service is soliciting a quote for one industrial mixed-media medical shredder, identified as a Taskmaster Model TM1620 or equal. The system must mechanically destroy mixed-material medical supplies and devices—including plastics, textiles, rubber items, flexible tubing, paper-based materials, and small non-ferrous components—without pre-sorting, producing small uniform fragments that prevent reuse or reidentification. It must support continuous-duty operation, resist jamming, fit within the designated warehouse space, allow safe hand-loading, collect debris in standard containers, and include appropriate guarding, emergency-stop, automatic-shutdown, noise, vibration, and operator-control features. The equipment must include operations, maintenance, safety, preventive-maintenance, warranty, and parts documentation, with domestic service support and replacement parts available. The requirement also includes delivery, on-site installation and setup, startup and operational testing, demonstration of operation, and initial on-site operator training. Delivery is required within 14 weeks after award; the Statement of Work describes this as a one-time purchase with no options. Quotes will be evaluated on technical capability and price. The acquisition is a 100% small-business set-aside.
