Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is soliciting bids for polyester fiber cores and pillow batting to support mattress manufacturing. Required fiber-core sizes are 25x75x5, 25x80x5, 25x75x4, 25x80x4, 27x75x4, 27x80x5, 25x75x6, and 38x74x5; pillow batting sizes are 20x26x30 and 20x26x20. Products must use new polyester fiber, be white, odor-free, hypoallergenic, moisture resistant, and packaged in clear plastic bags. Fiber cores must meet the stated loft, weight, width, and length tolerances and comply with California TB 117, TB 121, TB 129, and TB 133. Pillow batting must be garneted into batts and boxed, meet the stated weight tolerance, and comply with California TB 117. Bidders must bid all line items and provide a specific delivery time in working days after receipt of order. Award will use a best-value evaluation weighted 95% for price and 5% for delivery. The resulting master agreement has an initial one-year term and may be renewed for four additional two-year periods. Electronic submission through the Commonwealth's eProcurement system is required; paper bids are not accepted. Equal products may be proposed if clearly identified and supported by descriptive literature.
