Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration seeks a contractor to furnish and install a 50 kW liquid-propane emergency generator and compatible automatic transfer switch at an airport equipment shelter, and relocate the existing 250-gallon propane tank. Work includes reinforced concrete pads, trenching and electrical feed, wiring and propane lines, permitting, utility identification, and testing the generator and transfer switch. The equipment must be suitable for exterior use and resistant to coastal conditions and rodents. The quote must include a technical volume with a project schedule and an approach addressing the work, plus details of two completed non-residential emergency-generator installation projects from the past three years. A separate price volume is required. The project is a total small-business set-aside and will be evaluated using lowest-price, technically acceptable procedures. The estimated price range is $46,543.73 to $63,800.00. A payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit equal to 100% of the contract price is required within 10 days after award; this is a post-award requirement. The work is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. This is a commercial construction requirement, and quotes that do not meet the stated instructions will be found nonresponsive.
