Description
The City of Bremerton seeks a multidisciplinary consultant team to prepare preliminary engineering designs for three segments of the 11th Street corridor. Work includes pavement restoration, ADA ramp upgrades, conversion of a segment to a community boulevard with multimodal facilities, landscaping, lighting and stormwater conveyance and treatment, and intersection safety improvements. Pedestrian crossing improvements and utility upgrades may also be considered. Anticipated disciplines include bicycle and pedestrian facility design, structural and traffic engineering, stormwater and drainage engineering, environmental permitting, surveying and right-of-way services, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture and urban design, electrical and illumination design, utility coordination, and public involvement. The City may retain the selected firm for later right-of-way, construction engineering and inspection, and construction management phases. The agreement is expected to last approximately 12 months, with possible extensions. A voluntary 10% SBE goal is identified.
