Description

Greenville County Schools is seeking one firm for a Phase One bi-directional amplifier program at 13 district locations. The design-builder must design, furnish, install, test, commission, and maintain complete emergency responder radio antenna/repeater systems, including bi-directional amplifiers, donor and indoor antennas, distributed antenna systems, coaxial cable, passive RF components, backup power, surge protection, and alarm-monitoring connections. Systems must provide reliable radio coverage in at least 95% of building areas and 100% of designated critical areas, comply with applicable codes and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements, and support public-safety radio frequencies. The proposal must address system design, RF link budgets, floor-plan and elevation overlays, product data, installation documentation, testing, qualifications, warranties, and support. The contractor must hold the required South Carolina contractor license, provide manufacturer-qualified personnel and NICET Level III BDA design capability or equivalent professional engineering certification, and use installers with at least five years of similar experience. The contract is for one year from award, renewable annually and not to exceed five years total; the project is estimated to take one to two years. Performance and payment bonds are required for the full Contract Sum, and the solicitation requires submission of a South Carolina contractor's license, insurance documentation, and other specified certifications and forms.
