Description
New Samaritan Corp. is soliciting bids for Level 2 alterations at William H. Warner Village. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services needed to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications. The bid form also requires unit prices and a commitment to complete the work within 365 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed; liquidated damages of $500 per day apply for late completion. Bids must include a bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the bid price. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, with sureties meeting the stated eligibility requirements. The bidder must complete a Contractors Qualifications Statement, which must be notarized. A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough is required, and bidders must register on the planholder list to receive addenda. The bid documents also state that bidders must make a good-faith effort to set aside at least 25% of the contract amount for Small Business Enterprises, with 25% of that set-aside amount made available for Minority/Female Business Enterprises; applicable businesses must be certified by the Department of Administrative Services.
