The City of Fairhope is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for upgrades to the existing Grand Hotel Lift Station and construction of a new Scenic 98 Lift Station. The work includes sewer collection and conveyance improvements, two manholes, approximately 80 linear feet of 10-inch and 12-inch PVC gravity sewer main, approximately 520 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE force main, 80 linear feet of 10-inch and 12-inch ductile iron force main, 480 linear feet of 4-inch PVC force main, 180 linear feet of 8-inch PVC force main, 1,460 linear feet of 10-inch PVC force main, plug valves, combination air relief valves, connections to existing force mains, and associated appurtenances. Bids must use the blank bid forms provided in the bid documents and be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope identified with the item name, bid number, City of Fairhope name and address, and contractor name and address. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, and written questions must be submitted by the stated deadline. Contractors must be properly qualified under Alabama law; applicable state general contractor licensing and City of Fairhope business-license requirements apply.
