Description
The City of Charlotte is soliciting sealed bids for Safe Streets for All Phase 1, a Vision Zero infrastructure project focused on intersections and pedestrian-involved crashes. The work includes rectangular rapid flashing pedestrian beacons; accessible pedestrian signal upgrades; lead pedestrian interval signal upgrades; concrete curb ramps; concrete sidewalks; concrete curb and gutter; milling; concrete islands; concrete pedestrian refuges; and pavement markings. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Procurement Portal. The estimated project cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A 5% bid security is required for bids of $100,000 or more, and bidders must comply with applicable North Carolina contractor licensing requirements. The project is subject to federal assistance requirements, including Davis-Bacon, federal labor standards, and other applicable federal statutes and regulations. No Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goal is specified.
