The Defense Logistics Agency is conducting market research to identify qualified manufacturing and supply sources for a computer, flight control component, NSN 6615-01-668-3654, part number 70600-01844-102, supporting the Black Hawk weapon system. The component must come from a manufacturing source specified on a source-control or selected-item drawing; government technical data and data rights are not available to qualify alternate sources or parts. The agency indicates that the requirement currently has only a limited number of responsible sources under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). Potential sources must meet prequalification requirements and may need to perform recurring and nonrecurring engineering associated with source approval, as well as manufacturing, production, supply-chain management, logistics, forecasting, long-lead procurement, obsolescence management, and final delivery. Access to export-controlled technical data requires current United States/Canada Joint Certification Program certification for both the offeror and its sources of supply.
