Description
The Town of Wallace is soliciting sealed bids for three airport construction schedules at Wallace-Pender Airport: Schedule I, Runway Extension; Schedule II, West Partial Parallel Taxiway and Apron; and Schedule III, East Partial Parallel Taxiway. The work includes erosion control, earthwork, storm drainage, aggregate base course, asphalt paving, shoulder grading, pavement marking, lighting and signage, PAPI and vault installation, seeding, sodding, and mulching. Bidders must be prequalified with the North Carolina Department of Transportation at bid opening, and subcontractors must be registered as prequalified subcontractors at project commencement. The contract includes federal provisions, including Davis-Bacon requirements, civil-rights and nondiscrimination requirements, debarment and suspension, lobbying restrictions, recovered-materials requirements, and restrictions on covered unmanned aircraft systems. A bid bond, cash deposit, or certified check equal to 5% of the total base bid for each schedule is required. The Town intends to award all schedules, subject to funding availability.
