Description
The School Board of Sarasota County is soliciting bids for used vehicles to support the Suncoast Technical College Automotive Program. The vehicles will be used for classroom instruction and should be from the dealer's current inventory. The solicitation also aims to establish a maximum percentage markup on the dealer's wholesale price for future used vehicle purchases, with a stated maximum of 10%. Vehicles accepted include wholesale, auction, and donated options. The goal is to acquire a variety of makes and models from major manufacturers to provide students with hands-on experience. All vehicles must be mechanically streetworthy, have transferable legal title, and be no more than ten years old. Entry-level models with functional air conditioning and either automatic or manual transmissions are preferred. Cosmetic concerns are secondary, but all doors, the hood, and the trunk must open and close securely. Delivery will be FOB Destination, freight prepaid, to Suncoast Technical College at 4748 Beneva Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233.
