Description
The Maine Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of two large culverts: WIN 026376.00 on U.S. Route 202 in Alfred and WIN 028148.00 on Route 111 in Biddeford. The work includes furnishing and installing glass-reinforced plastic culvert lining systems with integrated weirs, completely grouting the annular space between the existing host pipes and liners, cleaning the existing culverts, and performing associated excavation, backfill, riprap, streambed rock features, void-filled riprap, erosion control, and restoration work. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, permanent and temporary materials, construction quality control, maintenance of traffic, cofferdams, water bypass systems, environmental controls, required submittals, and warranties. In-stream work is subject to seasonal restrictions, and the projects include federal-aid requirements such as Davis-Bacon labor standards, Buy America/Build America, DBE documentation, and federal environmental permit conditions. Work must be completed by October 2, 2027.
