Description
This solicitation is for the replacement and upgrade of fire alarm systems in multiple buildings at the Trapper Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center, located near Darby, Montana. The project includes replacing fire alarm control panels, initiation devices, and notification devices in several buildings, as well as installing additional devices in some existing systems. Specific tasks include replacing the fire alarm system in the Administration Building (B16) to act as a central annunciator for other campus systems, replacing the obsolete fire alarm system in the Masonry Shop (B67), replacing the fire alarm system and protecting wiring in the Electrical Repair Shop (B70), installing a manual pull station in the Men's Dorm (B12), installing smoke detectors in four storage rooms/closets in the Food Service building (B15), and installing an audio/visual notification device in the Arts & Crafts Storage Room in the Recreation building (B60). Additionally, there is an optional item for troubleshooting and repair of the fire alarm system in the Carpentry Shop (B62). The project requires adherence to various codes and standards, including NFPA 72, NFPA 90A, IBC, IFC, and ADA. The work will be performed by NICET certified fire alarm technicians and licensed electricians. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and necessary licenses. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The contractor must coordinate work to minimize disruption to the Center's daily operations.
