Description
Georgia Military School is soliciting proposals for Category One connectivity between Acker Hall at 201 E. Greene Street and the Indoor Training Facility at 630 S. Warren Street in Milledgeville. The self-provisioned option requires a dedicated, continuous 24-strand single-mode fiber connection, with all strands connected, terminated, labeled, tested, documented, and available for use. Initial service must support two simultaneous 10 Gbps Ethernet links in a standards-based LACP aggregation group, providing 20 Gbps aggregate capacity. The scope may include route design, engineering, permitting, construction, directional boring, conduit or other infrastructure, splicing, termination, restoration, testing, and as-built documentation. The solicitation also requests equivalent data transmission services over third-party networks, with two 10 Gbps Ethernet handoffs supporting LACP or an equivalent 20 Gbps aggregate solution. Proposals must address throughput, VLAN transparency, frame size, latency, availability, restoration, installation, recurring charges, service terms, renewal terms, and bandwidth upgrades, with pricing requested for 36-month and 60-month terms where available. In addition, bidders must quote one Aruba CX 6200-series 48-port PoE switch or equivalent with at least two 10 Gbps SFP+ uplinks, LACP support, required licenses, patch cords, installation, configuration, testing, warranty, and support. Bidders may respond to connectivity, equipment, or both, and must separately identify eligible and ineligible costs and any required cost allocation.
