Description
The Ventura County Transportation Commission seeks qualified contractors for an on-call bench to perform mechanical and approved chemical weed abatement; debris collection, hauling, and disposal; tree pruning and removal; arborist assessments; and separately authorized minor property maintenance. Maintenance tasks may include fence and gate repairs, sign and barrier installation, graffiti removal, and related surface repainting. Work will be assigned through written work orders, with no guaranteed quantity or minimum payment; the Commission may award agreements to multiple contractors. Proposers must demonstrate capacity to perform the full scope using their own qualified staff and identified subcontractors. The scope includes labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, documentation, and coordination with the Commission and affected railroad and public agencies. Railroad access, safety training, protective services, and applicable approvals are required before affected work begins. The proposed initial service term is May 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030, with two one-year options. The proposal requires a technical narrative addressing six topics, three client references, applicable licenses and registrations, subcontractor information, disclosures, and a separately submitted cost proposal using Attachment C.
