Description
Stockton Unified School District is soliciting proposals for specialized transportation services for students with severe disabilities attending Walton Special Center. The contractor must provide qualified drivers and Bus Attendants, appropriately equipped and insured vehicles, reliable routing and dispatch, backup personnel and vehicles, and transportation coordinated with student-specific Individualized Education Program requirements. Services may include wheelchair-accessible transportation and securement, specialized seating and restraint systems, medical and behavioral accommodations, continuous supervision, curb-to-curb or door-to-door service, field trips, community-based instruction, and summer programs. Vehicles must support mobility and medical equipment and include required safety, communication, tracking, and video capabilities. The initial term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals. Proposals are evaluated on qualifications and experience, service approach, staffing and safety, and cost.
