Description
Montgomery County Public Schools is soliciting proposals from qualified telecommunications service providers to deliver scalable, fiber-based Internet access and associated transport directly to one or both designated data centers. The service must provide full-duplex throughput beginning at 60 Gbps and scaling through 500 Gbps, with pricing required for 60 Gbps and every 10 Gbps increment through 500 Gbps at each data center. Required capabilities include fiber transport, direct data-center connectivity without undisclosed last-mile charges, BGP configuration and support, efficient Internet routing, DDoS protection, 24x7x365 monitoring and technical support, service-level commitments, implementation, testing, and acceptance support. Proposals must include detailed technical and pricing information, E-rate eligibility and cost allocations, a five-year initial pricing schedule, five optional one-year renewal schedules, company qualifications, experience with large K-12 networks and comparable high-capacity services, at least three comparable references, exceptions, and a signed respondent certification containing the provider's SPIN/498 ID. The initial contract term is five years, with up to five additional one-year renewal terms at the district's discretion.
