Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, is seeking information from interested sources capable of developing and producing new Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) 5-inch projectile bodies compatible with the MK 45 Gun Weapon System. The notice states that the Government intends to pursue a firm-fixed-price follow-on production contract on a sole-source basis with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, based on its successful completion of the related prototype project. This is a special notice and market survey, not a request for proposal. Interested sources are asked to provide organization and business information, contact details, and a summary of their capabilities. Responses are due by email by November 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. EST.
