Description
The City of Norfolk is soliciting sealed electronic bids for installation of prefabricated vertical drains and preload embankment work ahead of floodwall construction along Water Street. The scope includes approximately 275,000 linear feet of prefabricated vertical drains, pre-drilling, pervious sand, embankment fill, grading, settlement plates, piezometers, and consolidation monitoring. Additional work includes site surveys, erosion and sediment controls, maintenance of traffic, utility infrastructure, storm-drain demolition and installation, dewatering, temporary fencing, temporary and permanent sheet pile walls, and related mobilization and restoration. The contract requires compliance with applicable federal cost-sharing requirements, Virginia wage determinations, environmental requirements, and safety provisions. Substantial completion is required within 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
