The Alabama Board of Funeral Services seeks a vendor to provide housekeeping and janitorial services at its approximately 5,086-square-foot facility. Services include twice-weekly routine cleaning on Tuesdays and Fridays during normal business hours; cleaning and disinfecting offices, restrooms, breakrooms, lobby areas, floors, carpets, stairwells, windows, furniture, fixtures, and waste containers; replenishing agency-furnished restroom consumables; and reporting maintenance or safety issues. The vendor must furnish all labor, supervision, cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, with at least one employee assigned to each routine visit. Semi-annual services, included in the fixed monthly price, include cleaning baseboards and molding, sweeping, mopping and waxing tile floors, and cleaning interior windows. The agreement is described as a five-year term with an estimated 60 monthly service units and a maximum cumulative value below $25,000. Bidders must provide three qualifying commercial references and proof of workers' compensation insurance. Work must be performed by the vendor's employees; subcontracting is prohibited unless State Purchasing provides prior written approval. A mandatory site visit is required for eligibility.
