The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) has awarded a sole source firm-fixed price delivery order to Sirtex Medical, Inc. for SIR-Spheres (Yttrium-90 Micro Resin Spheres) and accessories. These items are required for an emergency surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center; failure to acquire them in time would necessitate additional surgeries and negative patient outcomes.
