Description
The Grant Parish Police Jury is requesting statements of qualifications from engineering firms or individual engineers to provide services for a Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment funded through the United States Department of Agriculture's Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Program. The scope includes analyzing parish needs; collecting and evaluating hydrologic, hydraulic, topographic, soils, land-use, and water-quality data; assessing Red River flows, withdrawal capacity, and water availability relative to projected irrigation demand; developing and evaluating diversion, pumping, conveyance, storage, and distribution alternatives; preparing preliminary sizing and construction cost estimates; evaluating engineering, economic, environmental, and social feasibility; coordinating with federal, state, and local agencies; participating in public meetings; preparing public-involvement documentation; and completing the Environmental Assessment. The solicitation encourages participation by small, minority-owned, disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises.
