Description
Tuolumne Utilities District is soliciting a contractor for construction of the Columbia Sewer Interceptor Hydraulic Improvements Project. The work includes approximately 2,088 feet of 12-inch PVC sewer main, seven precast sanitary sewer manholes, reconnections to existing force mains, gravity sewer mains, and service laterals, traffic control, excavation and trench shoring, removal and disposal of approximately 399 feet of asbestos-cement pipe, and roadway restoration including aggregate base, cold planing, hot-mix asphalt paving, striping, and signage replacement. The project is a California public works contract subject to prevailing-wage requirements and Department of Industrial Relations registration. Bidders must possess a Class A contractor's license and attend the mandatory pre-bid conference to be eligible to submit a proposal. The contract time is 150 calendar days from the written Notice to Proceed. A 10% bid bond is required with the proposal; 100% performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates are required after award.
