Description
The University of Waterloo is issuing a Request for Information to learn about available fleet management solutions and their costs as it develops a comprehensive fleet plan. Areas of interest include vehicle acquisition and financing; routine maintenance, breakdown assistance, and repairs; fueling and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure; and compliance, licensing, safety, and other related services. The university operates approximately 180 vehicles, including vans, trucks, light transport vehicles, and specialized equipment, and currently performs routine maintenance with its own vehicle shop. Respondents are asked to describe their organization and service or product model, answer the questions about the requested service areas, and provide indicative pricing, including pricing models, customization, support and maintenance costs, and estimated total project costs. Client examples from three higher-education institutions in Canada or comparable public-sector clients are requested if available. The RFI is for information gathering only; it will not result in an award or contractual arrangement, and a future competitive procurement may follow.
