Description
The South Dakota Board of Regents seeks proposals from qualified financial companies for a non-exclusive Master Lease Agreement to finance laptop computers for Dakota State University and South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. The initial lease is anticipated to cover approximately 350 laptops for one institution and 500 for the other, with estimated equipment costs of $732,000 and $1,191,000, respectively. Quantities, configurations, and costs may change before lease execution; additional leases for similar quantities of computers and related technology equipment are anticipated in subsequent years. The initial computers are expected to be leased for three years with a $1 buyout at the end of the term, with semiannual payments. Proposals must state the lease rate factor, interest rate, and semiannual payment amount, provide separate cost information for each institution, and include the firm's standard lease forms and other required documentation. The proposal must also include three references from public universities for which the firm provides lease-funding financial services.
