Description
The City seeks a supplier for 15% hydrochloric acid solution used with sodium chlorite and sodium hypochlorite to generate chlorine dioxide for potable water treatment. Estimated annual usage is approximately 623,000 pounds. The product must meet the stated specific gravity and pH requirements, be free of visible foreign matter and harmful substances, and have NSF/ANSI Standard 60 certification. Bidders must submit a certificate of analysis, safety data sheet, NSF/ANSI certification, and at least three references from potable water treatment plants currently using the product. The supplier must deliver bulk product to the plants within five days after an order, provide equipment for unloading into the tanks, and furnish certified weight tickets for each delivery. The contract term is one year with four one-year extension options; pricing is firm for four years, subject to annual evaluation and adjustment.
