Description
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking a contractor to complete an intensive Class III cultural resource inventory across seven irregular survey units totaling approximately 1,256 acres of BLM-administered public land in the Colorado River Valley Field Office. The work supports fuels reduction and habitat improvement projects and must be performed by, or under the direct supervision of, an individual holding a Colorado BLM cultural resource use permit. Tasks I through III include file searches and literature review, development of a project-specific historic context and research questions, intensive pedestrian inventory, identification and recording of cultural resources, completion of applicable OAHP and BLM forms, and evaluations for potential eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places. Tasks IV and V include draft and final inventory reports, maps, photographs, sketches, attachments, site forms, and electronic GIS data. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, materials, supplies, and services necessary for performance, with fieldwork conducted in accordance with applicable BLM, Colorado SHPO, and reporting standards. The period of performance is explicitly stated as May 1, 2027, through January 30, 2028.
